Spaced repetition makes scheduling easy, so it helps a lot with any sort of task without strict deadlines where you want the next deadline to be dependent on your results from this time. There’s no need to restrict it to just being stuck within the narrow confines of learning (and especially language learning) just because that’s what it was originally designed for.
However, the scheduling of all the spaced repetition apps I’ve come across are pretty inflexible and are completely meant for learning (that’s what they were designed for). Truly doing spaced everything will require Re-inventing the spaced repetition system for spaced everything. Even for pure learning, I think there’s a lot of potential in Building a better memory system.
